Can I borrow materials from the Bishop Stuart University Library?

The general public is welcome to use the library materials within the library. Online materials are available, but many require that you be in one of the libraries to use them. Please Note: some online databases are restricted to use by only faculty, students and staff

Can I bring food & drinks into the library?

Drinks and food are not allowed in the library except those with special cases that must be cleared by the University Librarian. All trash must be disposed of properly. Should a spill occur, please ask at the Main Desk for a cleanup kit.

When is the library open?

  • Monday-Friday: 8:00 am – 10:00 pm
  • Saturday: 9:00 am – 7:00 pm
  • Sunday: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

What services does the library offers remotely?

Electronic resources including e-books and streaming video collections are available on A-Z Database List

How do I access Library databases from home?

Go to the Databases A-Z list on the Library website to find a link for the database you wish to use.

To access the database use your MyLoft Login credentials

How can I find my access password to use the Library databases?

On-campus access is provided through the BSU internet network infrastructure and no logins are required. And for off-campus, proxy access is through MyLoft

Does the Library accept book donations?

How do I find an e-Book?

All eBooks are available via EBSCOhost eBook Academic Search Premier & Academic collection on source type select “e-Books”

Are there any Free E-Books? (Open Access Resources)

Yes and they available on A-Z Database List and Open Access Tool Kit
